No. If you can get a hole drilled vice dug go for it.  I was offered factory made rebar cages suitable for either, take your pick.  I chose square and backhoe over round and drilling as the lowest bid I got on drilling a 5 ft diameter hole was $2000. Extra concrete due to backhoe precision was way under $2000.  Back hoe cost $80. The drilling folks wanted me to be liable for any teeth they might break.

Is there a reason not to use a cylinder vs a square hole?
