But neither of those appears to pass the nitrogen. I would have to string a
separate hose just for that...

For only 30' I would use FSJ4 or LDF4 with an EIA on one end and a DIN on
the other. These cables are easy to work with (and ship) and there is
really no additional loss compared to 7/8 for this length and frequency. If
you have trouble finding a cable assembly like this, please contact me
directly.

Air because the antenna's 1 5/8 EIA transmission line is pressurized. I
already have the nitrogen setup for that outdoors at the antenna's base, but
I can put the tank inside where it belongs if I have pressurized helix as
well.

Actually if I buy a ready-made cable, I'll have a 1 5/8 EIA flange on one
end, and a 7/16 DIN into the shack on the other. Then I can get rid of the
EIA-to-N adapter at the antenna base.

We're just talking HF. The antenna is rated 3 -- 30 MHz. I want low loss
transmission line to maintain my hard-fought noise figure at the upper end
toward 30 MHz. Since I'm on solar power, I'll be lucky to even get 1500
Watts out, but the EIA stuff is the way the antenna came, and I'm stuck with
it.

So you guys have any suggestions on a good place to pick for the
transmission line? I see Commscope, maybe RFParts, Pasternack, but what
others are out there?

Thanks for responding,
-Doug
