I wanted to look at your installation before responding however your WA2FGK
- com website appears to be sketchy. You did not say how long your aluminum
mast is but I probably would not tram against it as they bend very easily. I
rarely use a tram unless there are large antenna just below the antenna I am
working on and I cannot go straight down.  If I need a tram I try to connect
the cable to the tower and not the mast, in my case the towers are strong
enough not to need a back guy.

I have a 4 el 20 meter HyGain yagi, that I am going to tram to a 60 foot

25.I bought 3/16 inch stranded stainless and will attach it to my garden 
tractorI have a 2 inch diameter 1/4" wall aluminum mast on the towerNow my 
question.The tower is guyed in two locations.Being the antenna only weighs
50 
lbs, how important is it to back guy the mast ????Hope I explained this
properly
