Then, it could be related to the end of the elements capacitance.
I guess a Yagi with folded dipole or LFA will be fine when rain ??

Years ago I had a 10 meter dc grounded Yagi with gamma match. That antenna did
have rain static. So I feel the mention of dc ground has no bearing.
