Probably not.  A while back I purchased some used connectors for 1 5/8  
Heliax and on a few of them someone had wrapped the butyl right on the  
connector instead of taping it first.  I used lacquer thinner and a  
lot of elbow grease to clean them. They came out great however it was  
not worth the effort. If coaxiseal is similar, it is probably much  
easier to cut the connectors off and install new ones before properly  
sealing them.
