I have a Tri-Ex WT-51 and since it tilts over at the ground base I am confused how you can get it past horizontal. Please explain.

Al,

I have a (much) smaller cousin of the DX-70, the WT-51. The tilt fixtures are the same design.

The WT-51 does tilt well past horizontal. I have taken advantage of that capability.
