Yes. I've used a 40M version of this design. Nice antenna.
Yeah, don't go adding length with the choke.
As I recall, the phasing lines are 50 ohms, in which case my designs
should be used with RG400, at the base of each element, and the
electrical length of the choke subtracted from the phasing lines.
