My experience with off brand UHF connectors has not been all that
great. The problem I have run into has to do with machining the
threads. Off brand males don't thread onto real Amphenol females
correctly or vice versa. But Amphenol isn't perfect either. A year
or two ago I had a defective Amphenol PL259. The threaded sleeve's
retainer collar wasn't much there so when threading it onto a jack the
sleeve kept going and pulled off the soldered body of the connector.
