Comments:A real shocker when this one was done. My previous best
was 102,000 and my goal this year was 120K. A phenomenal stroke of
good luck on 20 lifted me well above expectations. And, to top
it off, my 20 meter beam was stuck pointing due east. Didn't seem
to make a difference as I worked everybody in all directions. From
the coulda, shoulda department...If I planned my off times better,
would have had 1000 qsos. Oh well. Was called by a ZS2 and got his
name for a nice QSO. Worked ZL9CI, but didn't get a name so no
go there. And I do have to apologize. Without thinking, I started
calling CQ on 1.834 MHz. Not realizing it was the CW DX window, I was
blissfully talking away when a very nice gentleman reminded me where I
was. I immediately QSYed, but the monicre of lid had already been
stamped on my forehead. I shall not do that again. This should be
the Arkansas record, depending on what Kevin, N5DX, did from Harrison,
AR.
10 and 80 big dissapointments, but 20 and 40 pleasant surprises. It
sure makes a difference when you have antennas. Thanks to Frank,
N5ZS,
for the use of his station in rural Franklin Co., Arkansas
