Resend to 3830. Sorry this went to CQ-Contest by error here.
We had the annual "open house" in the ARRL CW Contest, so were on the air
with a wide range of CW and contest experience. Congrats to WX0B from here
in Texas, and the other big scores.
The 10 meter opening to Europe was about as good as it gets. Our rates
were not spectacular because of the operator rotation program and the
training, but the conditions were spectacular. To the Europeans who
complained about our lack of a receiver on Saturday morning, I apologize
that we had not switched over from the JA beverage from the previous night
on the low bands. The 6/6 on Europe received a lot better than the JA
beverage when I recognized the problem! That little ditty cost us 90
minutes! Oh well...See everyone as a S/O both modes in the WPX and CQWW,
and we will take another crack at the East Coast as a M/S in the IARU this
Summer.
