Good signals from EU Friday. It was virtually impossible to find a clear
frequency to run stations, however. Saturday night the band faded for 4
hours during prime time. Most EU signals were down 20db+ from Fridays
levels. There was a brief opening over the pole at my sunset that allowed
me to work a few juicy mults. Many thanks to SU9ZZ, and TA3J for calling me
during my brief CQ'ing effort Saturday. No EU longpath opening either
morning.
As usual is was fun. 40m is a brutal band in a phone contest! :-)
The loudest signal bar none was RU1A. Their signal was copyable long before
the band really opened and after it closed.
