Comments:

Decided to try a more humble approach for phone. Operated LP
from my home QTH with an 80 meter dipole at 15'. Forgot to turn
up the power on 40 meters after adjusting tuner - ended up 
running 10 watts there (no wonder K4XS couldn't copy me). 
Managed to worked 1 east coast station - NT1N, and 2 midwest 
- KW8N, VE5CPU on 20 meters. Everything else was W6/W7.
Will climb the Walnut tree and try to get the antenna a bit 
higher next time.
