Comments:

After vy good condx in the CW Sprint, I was hoping we'd have similar good condx
for the SSB event. But, it wasn't as good on all three bands. At the outset,
40m was quite poor but at least worked Don K0FX. 20m was quite good and, when
condx improved on 40, those were the two bands to be in this one. 75m QRN was
pretty rough to get through to many stations. Nice to work many rare
multipliers, particularly ME, VT, DE, ID, SD, IA and KH6/W6PH, AL9A, and KL7RA.
Heard but didn't work RI, NE, and VE4EAR in MB. The Ontario, Canada gang do
well in these but, other than ON and VE4EAR, didn't hear any other VE
provinces.

Also, nice to work/hear GMCCers K0FX, N0HF, KO7X and N0RK. Didn't hear K0UK.
Bill must be still chasing that elk. Took my folks to the foothills and up to
Summit Lake just below Mt. Evans to see aspen follage. On way back we went by
a small herd of 4 or 5 elk with a 6 point elk within arms length on the road.
I didn't see Bill around... Steve N2IC was pretty weak on 20m but he has good
ears and heard my LP sig down in NM...only NM I worked (or heard) in the test.
Thanks, Steve.

73 Ken, W0ETT
Rig: IC756 ProIII to HF yagis and 80m vert.
