Comments:

Actual category is M/O Mobile. Two ops/drivers (KU8E and K4BAI). The 3830
forms don't recognize multi op mobile as a category. IC756, Hustler mobile
whips with DX Engineering Top Hats. 100 W.

We had some unexpected difficulties and didn't get to operate full time and
failed to reach 7 of our intended counties. Most of the other FL stations
didn't seem to realize it, but we were able to work as far as WI and ON at mid
day on 40 meters, at least from N. Fla. We had Jeff's car fitted out with two
separate mobile masts and QSYing from 20 to 40 was almost instantaneous. Our
intent was to CQ on both 20 and 40 in all counties until 20 was totally dead.
In a few counties, we may have reached the county line before we got to the
second band. After lunch Sunday, we were unable to work 40 meters without RF
causing the logging computer to crash. So, we worked no 40M after that and we
apologize, particularly to those close in stations who had been following us on
40. It didn't seem to us that the pileups were as deep as in past years and
conditions on 20, particularly for DX didn't seem very good. It was our
pleasure to work all that we could hear and we thank each of you for your
interest and support. Any QSLs may be obtained from K4BAI. DX stations may
make request for bureau QSLs via e-mail.

Our most exciting moment was giving a "sweep" to K0RC from HAMilton County with
about 17 minutes to go in the contest. We were pleased to work former FL
resident KH7XS (formerly K4XS) from Hawaii several times. Sometimes Bill was
quite loud. There were certainly a lot of Canadians QRV, particularly from ON.
We don't think we worked NV, ID, AK, ND, VE5 and VE6 on either mode. We didn't
have a lot of luck on phone. Our signal with 100 watts was insufficient to hold
a frequency on phone. DX worked on CW: CT, CU, CX, DL, F, G, HA, I, KP4, OK,
OM, VP9. Thanks to all. I4VEQ was extremely strong on 20 and 40. DX worked
on SSB: WP3GW.

We apologize for confusing some of you by starting off using the wrong
abbreviations for Calhoun and Columbia counties. We started off calling
Calhoun CAL, when it should have been CAH and calling Columbia COL when it
should have been CLM. We changed after a few QSOs and I hope the logchecking
can work out what was a dupe for you and what was not. That was my mistake for
setting up the files for those counties with the wrong abbreviations.

Here is the brakdown by counties:

County CW Q Ph Q CW M Ph M Score Time 40C 20C 40Ph 20Ph
BAK 41 0 21 0 3,444 0:18 0 41 0 0
