Comments:

As soon as I saw the K index on Friday there was no hope for good condx.
I still decided to give a decent effort and see how would my antennas perform.
RX is still an issue at my place. In recent years, on the roof where my shack
is new digitally controlled boilers, elevators and Bell Canada equipment were
installed. You should hear the noise when they come on...:-) I managed to get
rid off the boiler noise by grounding their aluminum chimneys, however because
of warranty issues I have to be careful what to touch. I have a pennant and a
coax loop for RX but most of the time the TX ant outperforms them. There ar
many antennas on the roof and I simply cannot avoid being close to each other.
I had a great frequency just above 1840 and logged almost 500 QSOs on that
frequency until someone (I guess big power big ant) decided that it is too much
for me so tuned right on me and started to run. I nicely asked him several times
to move but he did not even acknowledge my presence so he finally blew my
fuse...:-) I put on the auto CQ and went for a shower and breakfast. By the
time I came back he was still there so I was defeated... Not a very nice
experience but fortunately only very few HAMs have this kind of mentality. This
was the second one I came across since I am tapping the paddles. I am not
unreasonable so if someone is close I can and I have to live with it because
QRM is part of this hobby and that's fine. Sometimes I have to move because I
cannot handle it. Sometimes QRM makes me even work harder to get the QSOs.
However when someone steps on you deliberately that could be fuse blowing...:-)

and that is what happened he blew my fuse. Any way I am done with it. Sorry if
I made some of you confused with the long CQ but that is what happened.
   I was called by several DX like DL0, HA5, CU2, EA7, G, J39 and KH6 whic is
not bad for 150W. Interestingly I coulod copy KH6LC on the coax loop only.
Condx went down again Sunday morning so when I reached 1,000 QSOs around 3:15
in the morning I finished. I had a social meeting to organize on Sunday any way
so I needed a little rest.
