Members of the Stanford Amateur Radio Club operated this year's ARRL Field Day
from the shack at the Site 530 Emergency Operations Center in the Stanford
foothills. Overall, we estimate about forty participants and visitors were
involved in this year's Field Day.

W6YX operated in class 4F (four simultaneous transmitters from an
established emergency operations center site) + GOTA station using the call
sign K6SU + UHF/VHF/Satellite. Several people took advantage of the GOTA
station to try their operating skills in a "contest-like" environment.

Lots of hard work by a lot of club members paid off with a successful Field
Day
which provided a great opportunity to socialize, to operate nearly all
available bands and modes, and to demonstrate to the public the communications
capabilities at W6YX.
