Comments:

This was a very slow contest until Sunday and then the dam broke!

Friday night was a good news - bad news story for me. First the bad news; I
got sick with the symptoms of H1N1 right as the contest started. (Dizzy, passed
out several times, nauseous and no fever at first.) The good news was it was a
light case and there was nothing much to work any way. Scared the heck out of
me though! I had a lot of off time after the first hour and quit early. I
packed off to bed with 35 Qs in the log and with E51 as the last Q and only DX
QSO of the night.

Did not get up any too early on Saturday and got going just before 8:00 a.m.
local. Rates were not very brisk until the 1700 hour where I had 62 Qs when
the band opened to NM, AZ, NV and CA. That started dropping off around 1750
and it went back to the 16-18 Qs/hr (or worse!). I steadily felt better and
was ok by the afternoon. I was lucky in many ways!

There was finally some DX in the 1700 hour Saturday with a few PYs & LUs.
Normally, I would have about 100- 200 in SA, but this time the total was only
16. Since I had plenty of time I stayed on later than usual and netted 21 Qs
in the 0600 hour, the second best rate of the day! Had 265 QSOs in the log at
the end of Saturday. I had heard VK7ZE, but could not get the #. Thank
goodness he called again the next night at 2335, just before the end of the
contest.

I was hyper and stayed up until after 3 a.m. WHY can't I just GO to bed?
Usually I am in earlier and kick myself for staying up until midnight watching
SNL. Obviously, I did not get out to the station until late Sunday morning.
First Q just before 8;00 a.m.local. Band was already open a bit to IL, OH, IN
etc. 27 Qs in the 1400 hour and then steadily up from there until the 1900
hour with 173. Rest of contest over 100/hr. All told, 7 hours over 100/hr.
Not much DX. No EU, AF or AS. 1 VK, 1 ZL and 1 E51 in OC. Only 16 in SA.

Was I in the 6 meter contest by mistake?
