Comments:

Well... it was awful on 160m the first night.
First QSO at 11:27 gave me ZL8X, I was struggling but managed. Band was not
really open even to ZL.
This QSO was slowly followed up by VK3TZ, VK7ZE, VK1CC, W2VO (whow), VK3IO,
VK2GR and VQ9LA.
It is the first time that I can list all contest QSO's for a night's effort
and count them on the fingers :-)

Morning has shown few Eu signals but very weak and for a very short time.
No QSO's to Eu !
Whow... I have not seen such a bad condition for quite some time.
I suppose lower bands are dying, upper bands are back again.
15m was a king.... great pile ups heard and lot's of activities.
10m stayed open longer than in the past few years.

I went into second night with not so much hope.
But then....half an hour before darkness I decided to check what was happening
and the States stations were already everywhere.
I could not believe my ears.
I found a clear spot around 1813 kHz and slowly managed to build up a slow but
steady pile up.
W2's were in a big numbers, but I could only pick up some of them. Too many and
quite weak.

I continued keeping my frequency and I saw on the cluster that I have been
spotted a few times.
This brought a steady flow of stations.
As the grey line followed the USA, so the calls were changing from W2, W8 to W7
W0 etc.
Some 130 stations were logged in by the time sunrise came to W6.

I was hoping for KL7, but it did not happen.

Then I had to wait for sunrise in VK6, hoping that Eu will open up.
I heard a great signal from C5A, but he could not copy much.
After appologizing for not hearing anyone due to QRN he vanished.

Sunrise came and slowly Eu appeared, but very very shy.
I managed to get through only to ON4IA.
RU1A was "spying " on the frequency and gave me a quick call.
I replied and we managed to complete the QSO with ON4IA patiently waiting for
us to exchange the reports.
And... that was it....I could not get any attention from any other Eu
stations.

I guess a 4 square antenna could come sooner then later :-)

Overall I manged 153 QSO, 14 Zones and 14 DXCC.
I have missed out on many multipliers which, with a small opening to Eu, could
have given me a reasonable (for VK) score.
Well may be next time ......in 2020.... (?)..
