Comments:
As always, I had a lot of fun in this contest. RTTY has become my favorite
contest mode, and this year's CQ WW event just reinforced that attraction. I
wish I could have stayed up longer and worked more hours, but I just don't have
the endurance I used to...:-)
Reading some of the other comments about 15 meters, it seems I should have
spent more time there on Saturday, instead of trying to slug it out on 20
meters, where I was having a lot of difficulty being productive. I did discover
15 meters on Sunday, though, and had a lot of fun there for a lot of hours
running EU and chalking up multipliers. The band was just wall-to-wall signals,
from about .062 up past .140. I did a lot of good in S&P and even with low power
was able to hold a frequency and run stations for quite a while.
Ten meters was a suprise on Saturday, when I went there just to see if anything
was happening and wound up picking up 15 multipliers in about half an hour. Just
a hint of propagation to come in the next few years as the sun finally wakes up
and kicks up a few spots for our benefit.
Thanks to all for the contacts, and I'm looking forward to the next one!
