Comments:

Endured heavy rain and winds in EN93wv, did well for qso's as far east as FN31
with K1TEO in the afternoon. In the evening, drove north to EN94wf, skies now
a nice blue, winds still up. The qsos started rolling in, as far again as
K1TEO in FN31 to 1296. Was working W2SZ about 8 pm, great signals both ways on
432, then all equipment died, no power and was not transmitting. Checked the
Honda EU2000i genny, was purring away, 20A breaker not tripped and total loss
of 120V.

This genny has an output power cable harness that will break from vibrations to
create the no power condition. The factory service advisory says that if the
Power Output green light is on and no power out, the inverter is working,
and there is a break in the output cable harness wiring. This was repaired as
Extended Warranty as mine was 2 mo's out of warranty.

Headed home and just missed a deer 3 miles down the road. End of contest for
me.

Thanks to ARRL for sponsoring the contest and to all who gave me points.
Looking forward to the next contest.

73,

Bill VE3CRU/R
