Comments:

"Big Gene's" Critter Removal Service was here a good portion of the day, which
kept me distracted from operating. Big Gene was after the squirrels in the
"barn", a 60'x24' detached metal garage (where the shack is). Squirrels took
residence over the Christmas holiday while I was back in Ohio. Note to self:
noise while working on a metal building is counter productive to operating.

That, combined with a frantic Saturday morning getting the new station
(minimally) playing with 2 new dipoles for 10/15, updating K3 firmware,
pressing old laptop into service, loading YCCC SO2R Box software, loading
serial-usb drivers, debugging SixPak wiring and I really wasn't into the
contest.

Station:
K3 x 2
WX0B SixPak
Top Ten Decoders
YCCC SO2R box
Antennas were monoband dipoles for 10-15-20, 40/80 dipole, and 80m vertical,
all between 30'-60' high fed with RG8X and RG58 (temp feedlines). Felt loud on
40 and 20, with a high 60 minute rate of 124/hr on 40m. Almost all running, no
passing mults, and almost no SO2R (too lazy). Overall not bad for a few
dipoles not pointed in the right direction. New 80m RF issue shut down
station, so that’s when I called it quits.

Will put up some better antennas in the future at my new VA QTH. Adios Ohio.

Kenny K2KW
