Comments:

Score includes 18,000 points for activating 18 counties. After a frenetic
effort last year (35 counties, >900 Qs's) that netted the top spot for SO
SSB mobile I decided to do a more leisurely drive this year. Only did 15
counties Saturday and 3 more Sunday afternoon. Nonetheless, based on what I
see posted so far I may have a shot at winning it again. Time and log checking
will tell.

I tried to spend at least 30 minutes in each county and spend an appreciable
amount of time on both 20 and 40 with brief forays to 15m. 15m only netted 7
Q's and unlike last year when 10m was open to EU (resulting in some nice DX
mults) I didn't get anything on 10 this year and had only 2 DX mults courtesy
of XE2JOC and OM2VL.

Mult break down was 54 TX counties, 37 states, 4 VE provinces and 2 DX.

Most frequent repeat customer was NR5M (12), followed by WD5DDH(10), N1LN &
N4PN (8 each), KG5SV(7), N8II, NA2NY, NA5F, W4JNC each with 6 Qs and K1ZO,
K6IPV, KD0JLE, N5SJS, NJ5W and WB8LBZ with 5 each.

By Mult, the most Qs came from NC (25), EPAS(23), FL(22), OH(15), GA(14), CA
& CO (13), TRAV & WALL (12), PA & DENT(11), & ELLI (10).

The "olde grey lady" (my antenna festooned 1986 Pontiac Parisienne)
and I had a grand time motoring around NE Texas handing out Qs. Next stop for
WB0TEV is Swaziland where I'll be part of the 3DA0ET dx-pedition
(www.swazidx.org) Nov17-25. CU in the pileups.
Victor
