Comments:

Worked all 10 stns I could hear. 5 in EU and 5 in the USA.  All signals were
weak except K1DW who was ~579.

Best ears award today is shared between Marv N5AW and Bert F6HKA, who both were
NOT moving the S-meter AT ALL, yet heard me on the first go around. COngrats
guys.  Your good ears never fail to impress me.  THere's a certain Italian stn
(no names) that I call nearly every CWT, and he has to be over S9 before he
ever hears me.

Must have been a flare.  Usually I could work 15-20 loud signals at this hour
on 20m. Heard twice a stn coming back to N8BJQ and a K0, but not a trace
whatsoever of these guys.  

Weird !
