It was sort of a field day with a Spiderbeam @ 27 feet high on an telescopic
mast, a Steppir Big-IR and an inverted Vee dipole for 80 m, all installed a
couple of weeks ago on our new hilltop property near Tauranga: "the French
Farm". We had to shift the sheep out of the paddock 2 days early in order
to lay few more radials for the BIG-IR. It was also a learning curve to set up
more permanent towers and aerials in the future in this high wind environment
(1100 feet above sea level).

Conditions are definitively in decline, and been downunder is sometime
challenging to say the least!

This contest is still one of my favorite contests.

Unfortunately we won't be in New Zealand for the SSB as we are leaving for the
UK and France next week.
