Comments:

Thank you to the folks at the WVDXC for allowing me to borrow the call sign of
my contesting mentor.

Band conditions appear to be generally down from last year for most areas with
the exception of South Texas. Kudos to K5TR for skunking the competition. 40
meter east/west propagation again largely died early each evening. During the
last hour most of the replies to my cq calls were from South America and the
Caribbean
