Comments:

K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. N3UM and
W3GB operated Multi-Single in the Oct. 2019 Stew Perry.

We did Oct. Stew only once before, in 2016, and found rates slow
before 22Z. So, to start this year we ran 2205-0033Z and did well,
127 Qs and 310 points in 2.5 hr, 51 Qs/hr; nearly 2/3 of our total
Qs and half of our total points. Fun to have 3 EUs answer our
CQs 2240-00Z; LY, DL, and UX.

After a half-hour break we tuned 01-03Z and got KV4, VE6, HI3, OM2,
and others for 28 Qs and 95 points. From 03-05Z we got 33 total Qs,
20 of them running, 158 points, and a last 5 EUs; G, F, YO, SM, and DL.

In  some 160m tests there are strong EUs 05-06Z, but not this time;
the last EU QSO came at 0448Z. We got a last very-short run 0502-0509Z,
6 Qs and 26 points in 7 min, but only scraped up 4 more Qs by 0534Z;
after that, only dupes remained.

In all we got 12 EU QSOs in 8 countries, and a total of 8 QSOs in 7-
and 8-point far-West US grids. Compared with 10/2016 we got 88% as
many total points in 71% as many BIC hrs, 3 points/Q vs 2.6 in ’16.
We hope to be on for the 12/28 Big Stew.
