No RX antennas and lots of local noise so if I didn't hear you I am sorry but
that is probably why.

Had high hopes for finally breaking 1000 QSO's in this contest after getting off
to my best start ever. Was able to hold a good run frequency with good neighbors
on either side of me for over 4 hours at the start until the slop bucket net
fired up. Don't they know there is a lot of room above 1900 during CW contests?

My local noise floor seems to be getting worse from year to year at my suburban
location. This year I used a Timewave DSP filter that worked pretty well at
knocking some of it down and my eardrums are happy too. Only 28 5 pointers this
year. Missed KH6, KL7 and NT but I am pretty sure a VY0 was calling me on Sunday
morning but I could not pull the call out of the noise. I am curious to know if
I had the prefix right or was I dreaming while half asleep at the key.

I threw in the towel after it got so slow on Sunday morning that I could not
scrape out 4 more QSO's for the life of me to reach 1K. Even with the lousy
conditions we had I am pleased with the results and much fun was had in the
process.
