Comments:
Witnessing the spectacular polar lights in St Petersburg the night before the
kickoff with K-index reaching as much as K8, didn't make us very enthusiastic
about the bands condition so we were mentaly ready for another
"sado-maso" operation))))
The first 12 hours were tough with only low bands available, very poor 40m and
complete silence on 20m!
Later in a day on Saturday, bands started to open up a little, what gave us some
nice rates on 20/15m. The second day conditions were somewhat better.
Kepping in mind the Aurora, in general we are satisfied with the result and we
did enjoy the contest very much! Unlike some "Ham-Friends" who
preffered to DQRM on frequencies instead of enjoying the WPX Party!
Would like to give special thanks to the boys at @RT4F for an exciting race on
the Online Score Board!
