What do you think of this suggestion for the HV lead between the
RF deck and external supply:

* Use a long enough HV cable from the feed point at the base of
the RFC, and bring it through a grommet at the back of the RF deck
without termination.
This means the only connection is at the PS -(why not hard wire
it here?)*
