[AMPS] Collins 30L1/honey/ant story

I can't remember who told me this story..  I don't know if it's true..

A 30L1 was returned to the Collins factory for repair.  The owner's young
son had dumped a jar of honey into the Amp.  Art Collins had this unit
around the shop for several weeks not knowing which of his workers to
"drop" it on. One fellow told Art that he would be happy to take it on. 
The employee took the amp home and placed it in his garden near where the
"ants"  were.  The ants had all the honey cleared out in a few days. 

True or not .. good thinking..no ?
