1.  the extra-lossy tank reduces QRM - esp. on 20m to 10m.  
2.  5.9v on the 5v-rated heater sells more 8877s.  
3.  the use of a relatively high vhf Q parasite suppressor increases the 
tendency to gold-sputter the grid, which sells more 8877s.
