I'm sure you'll get lots of good advice, but I'd like to pass along
something I learned the hard way:  Use really large wire in your tank
coil, especially on 10 meters.  Wire that works fine for 40 or 20 will
overheat on 10.  The ARRL handbook has a chart of recommended wire
sizes for each band - believe it!  For my 1500 watt amp I eventually
got up to #4 solid copper earth ground wire before things ran cool
enough.
