I have designed and built 3-500Z HF Amplifiers. And while it was some years
ago, 18 to exact, I recall that the max grid current rating was 130ma per
tube. And it was pretty easy to toast a grid. Tune up procedures for
amplifiers with PI-L tank circuits as opposed to PI were very pointed. Tune
the Loading capactor FIRST lest you fry the grids. If the loading is
coupled too tightly with the Tuning Cap out the grid current will soar.
