[AMPS] Diff. between AL-80A and AL-80B ?

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Ameritron AL-80A and
AL-80B ?  Is it true that the Heathkit SB-1000 is essentially the same
as the AL-80A ?   What are the particular vices, if any, of the
SB-1000/AL-80A amps ?
