[AMPS] 3-500Z question

Hi All,

Got my 2 never in service 3-500Z Eimac's today.  Only one box had been
opened.  Upon examination I find the tube has in red ink on one side
"ELECTRICAL SAMPLE" .  Anyone know what that means?  Papers with the tubes
from Eimac are dated 12/79 and 1/80.  Would there be something special about
these?  They are in original boxes and were shipped from one Varian Div. to
another where it would seem they have been ever since.
