I done a search on 'copper tube' and found a distributor in Cardiff I
believe. Sorry I don't have his details.

He had some 5/16 AND 3/8 diameter. This is the same or very similar to
that used to make copper brake pipes on classic cars and such like.

8mm is standard fine plumbing tubing and most good plumbers merchants
stock it.
