Hello! Thank you, but you should have said this more often in the past
because these personal insults have gone to far many times. Many a valuable
and scientific oriented ham with great knowledge seems to have left this
very interesting reflector. What a pity. 

Thanks to Steve for describing the background of all these strange messages
and insults. I am sure I would enjoy an eye to eye qso  with Rich and
discuss  his problems and Oscar Wilde over a beer and maybe get him out of
his corner. To convince him that we all enjoy his great knowledge on some
special aspects of amps but that we very often get very irritated  ( right
spelling? ) over his manners. We are all different personalities and that 
is the charme with ham radio, that a lot of persons with different
background and personalities meet on equal terms. After all, tell me some
other hobby were you could meet a king like JY1 of Jordania ( I was one of
his first qso:s in 1969-70? " everything under control Hans"  he said when
he had problems during the "Black September" ) , Juan Carlos of Spain or the
president of Italy ( am I wrong now? ). Not to forget   Leroy de May, once
chief of US Airforce. And a lot of other . interesting people all over the
globe. So, we have to accept Rich's  personality but he has then to stick to
common sense and a more natural behaviour. And then, we will all love him
and enjoy his great knowledge, I am sure.
