IMHO the only snake oil being sold is the frantic attempts to discredit =
Mr. Measures. Innuendo about his mental abilities or his integrity =
appear to be a bait and switch tactic that some may use to keep =
interested parties from looking to closely at the shoddy design and =
construction of commercial amplifiers that they may have a vested =
interest in. I am no "guru" but they first amplifier that I built over =
twenty years ago as a novice in anticipation of my general license was =
better constructed and designed then most of the commercial amps =
available to the middle class today. The moderator of this reflector can =
attest to the fact that I have only been on this list for a few weeks or =
months at most but in that time I have seen nothing but personal attacks =
by a few on one person. These attacks remind me somewhat of the =
infighting in academia when someone's "sacred cow " is gored. I am sure =
my opinion has already been dismissed as I don't Have a degree in =
physics, no papers in peer revue, or on the payroll for a manufacturer =
of amps. I must fall into the wooed sucker of the snake oil fan club =
because I have learned the explanations for many questions about =
amplifiers that I have puzzled over through the years from Mr. Measures =
and out here in the real world put into practice his advice works unlike =
the run around from Ameritron and others when questions arise with their =
products the answer is that the operator is not capable of properly =
operating their fine products. who is selling snake oil to who?
