  How many 4410 slugs would one need with a labeled rating of 1.8 to 30 mHz
to measure 1500 watts.  I think some of the slugs can run over $250.

There is good Bird 4410 going cheap on Ebay. Just do a search on Bird 4410.
It looks in excellent condition.
This is the Bird with single switchable element up to 10KW. It will
certainly save some money over buying seperate slugs. I have one of these
and much prefer the convenience of quick selection of power ranges. I think
new they listed for $700.
