Carlos--

I hope you have checked out the reviews on eHam for both amps.

The Titan III is here
http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/3152

and the Alpha 99 is here
http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/414

Both have gotten good reviews--in fact both have perfect 5s out of 5.

The biggest difference is that there are currently a total of 5 reviews
for the Titan III and 45 reviews for the Alpha 99. Apparently demonstrating
that there are more Alphas in service--or more Alpha owners that are
willing to speak up about their experiences.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Alpha since I helped
transform the Alpha 91b into the Alpha 99 while I was president
of Alpha/Power. So I am not a "neutral" party. I just don't
know much about the Titan III but I know the people at TenTec
and they are certainly good people.

I left Alpha/Power to have an aortic valve replacement--a plastic
valve installed in my heart. Everyone I spoke to told me to choose
my heart surgeon based on the numbers. The doctor with the
most experience was the best one to choose. He had the most
experience to draw upon.

In the same way I would go with the numbers on amp reviews.
The more reviews that have been written about a particular amp,
the more I would feel comfortable that the specific amp has seen
lots of testing and use.

I am sure you will be happy with whatever choice you make.
