I would install a pair of banana jacks on the back panel and run small
gauge wires to the filaments. Bypass both jacks to ground and put a
bifilar RF choke in series with the wires. That way you have easy
access to measure the filament voltage any time you like.

Subject: [Amps] Getting Filament Voltage on an AL-82
Hello,
And thank you ahead of time for your comments. Does anyone have a
reliable
way of measuring the filament voltage to the ceramic plate on an Al-82?
With the recessed plates I have had a dickens of a time trying to get
something that would be physically doable without shorting out anything.
Thank you,
Craig, WW5E
