Dino,

If you haven't already gotten the tubes, sockets and chimneys, You may 
want to consider using a single GS-35B triode. It can loaf along at the 
power level of a pair of 4CX250s or really give you some power out if 
you're in the mood (with a little more drive required of course).  There 
are lots of six meter amps built with them and quite a few links to them 
on my web page at <http://gs-35b.com/vhfuhf.html>.
