With that thought in mind:  I attended the Rochester Hamfest last year and
this caught my eye:  a guy actually took a working DX-60 and UNASSEMBLED it
and put it back into its original box.  One of the comments he made was:
"re-live the great Heathkit days by building this 
classic......................".
