[Amps] HB amps

    Am I out of the logic loop when considering a pair of 813's for an amp??
I know there are a lot of "fancy, new " tubes out there, but can they
compete with the "old stuff" in the 1 KW class , insofar as the price and
simplicity is concerned ?? I don't care for contests, etc, but we all know
that a little extra power can be a big help, now and then!!!
     Anyone care to comment ???
