[Amps] Transformers in series

Several times in the past I've hooked up the secondaries of two identical transformers in series to double the output voltage.  It worked, and never gave it much thought.

I know I can get double the rated voltage of each transformer this way, but what about the amperage, does it double, too?

Or, would that depend configuration, such as CT or FWB?
