[Amps] Transformers in series

Nope, you get the same amps as a single transformer.  If you want twice the
current, you put them in parallel.  Then you just get the rated voltage of 1
transformer.  The idea is, a single transformer can deliver X watts.  2
Transformers can deliver 2X watts.
