This is worth restating for first-time amp builders: Check the break-down voltage rating of the resistors you plan to use for bleeders. Most resistors capable of dissipating the wattage will withstand 400 V, but read the datasheets. Surplus components with unknown specs are a big risk. You definitely want some headroom for components that get hot, and that are installed in a confined space. A HVPS is not the place to cut corners.
