The 6146 should work but you need a tuned grid circuit and neutralization
and a regulated screen supply. You could get away with out regulating the
screen if it is loaded with resistors enough. Look at some of the ssb
transmitters like heath etc for ideas.

You could also put in a tuned grid circuit and neutralize the 6HF5 amp too.
Don't even think about either one without neutralizing. With that low of
drive power you will have problems.
