[Amps] RFI experiences TSPA

Thats a great one, Kim.

I have had a few bouts of RFI problems, not so dramatic though. In
high school I had this tesla coil I built, out in my parents old
garage/shed. I ran the wiring myself to that building, and the
adjacent hamshack I built with my pop's help. I had a hanging bare
bulb, with cotton-insulated twisted wire, remember that stuff? At the
ceiling, there was no J-box, just a staple and couple of wire nuts
going to Romex. No ground, of course. Hey, I didn't know what CODE
meant, maybe something from Man From U.N.C.L.E.?

So here i was firing my 20 inch sparker, and I happened to see a glow
above. The staple into the damp wood rafter (this was in SC during
the summer) was sparking around the Romex. All of the staples were
doing it. There was so much RF on the AC line that it was arcing
everwhere. I was lucky it didn't burn the place down.
