[Amps] 3 phase transformers on single phase - advice pls?

It wont work with my 5 hp 2 stage compressor,  South Bend lathe, milling 
machine, or MIG and TIG welders. With motors they lose a lot of torque.

If I ever get a surplused AM BC transmitter I'll give it another try
